Makati City and San Juan
The Peninsula Manila is right across the Ayala Center, which boasts of two of the largest upscale shopping malls in the country, Glorietta and Greenbelt. With over 1,000 shops including three department stores, three supermarkets, and dining and entertainment facilities connected by elevated bridgeways, the Ayala Center is complemented by more stores along Antonio Arnaiz Avenue. These include two of the biggest Philippine handicraft stores - Balikbayan Handicrafts and Tesoro's. Some three blocks away is the Power Plant Mall, located within Rockwell Center, a fully integrated "city within a city."

Another interesting nearby shopping destination is Greenhills Shopping Center, located in the town of San Juan, around 10 km away from Makati. It has huge, air-conditioned, flea market-type shop spaces with great finds for the budget-conscious and bargain hunters. There's even a whole section selling pearls.
